In-Between Meeting Spring 2014

Invitation to the in-between meeting of CIOR (“CIOR IBM”) in Lille - Headquarters of the NATO-certified Rapid Reaction Corps-France 10th-12th April 2014.

  • The next CIOR IBM will be held at the “Citadelle “ in Lille, France, from 10th to 12th April 2014. This time, the IBM will have a NATO and international touch, as the main venue will be in the French Headquarters of the NATO-certified Rapid Reaction Corps, NATO certified.
  • Please find enclosed the provisional program (Annex 1), some preliminary administrative information (Annex 2), and the CIOR IBM Registration Form and Accommodation information (Annex 3).
  • Participants are advised to arrive in Lille (at Hotel Novotel Lille Centre Grand Place) on 10th April as of 1700 hrs. The official working part of the CIOR IBM meeting is planned to end at approximately 1300 hrs on 12th April 2014. 
  • CIOR IBM in Lille Citadelle is a working meeting, organized for the benefit of committees and interaction between VPs, the committees and the presidency. VP’s / Heads of delegations are encouraged to promote the participation not only of the committee chairs, but also of relevant committee members, in order to move committees forward in a practical way. This time again, conference fees and accommodation are kept affordable (options for two single beds).
  • Besides the official working program, I would like to bring to your attention the possibility to attend an organized visit of the Citadelle, a fortress built by Vauban which is a military national historical monument.
  • I warmly welcome each of you to a fruitful CIOR IBM in Lille.

Headquarters Rapid Reaction Corps-France (HQ RRC-FR)

Created on July 1st, 2005 in Lille (France), the Headquarters Rapid Reaction Corps-France (HQ RRC-FR) is an operational and modern headquarters, guarantor of the French ambitions, capable to endorse a panel of operational commitments, advanced in terms of doctrinal thinking on the modern and future engagement.

HQ RRC-FR is unique by its status as the higher level operational HQ of the French Army, belonging to the NATO command structure. Nevertheless as France remains the framework nation, it can also act under the command of the European Union, a coalition or France.
