CIOR MilComp 2014 was tested

Friday and Saturday after Easter the German organizers of the CIOR MilComp 2014 tested the facilities and briefed the supporting staff at Infantry School Hammelburg. Since the German competitors had scheduled their training and selection in this week anyway, the idea was born during the mid-winter-meeting to invite several neighbour countries for a little CIOR competition with all the disciplines within 36 hours. Hence one team from Austria, one from Denmark, three from the Netherlands and four from Germany plus one international team participated in this test competition. During the competition the technical delegate Cdr Grant Staats (USA) could do the required inspection of the facilities. The competition results are shown under http://www.cior2014.de/en/milcomp/results.

CIOR president Richard Roll visited the venues together with CIOMR vice-president Christine Vermeulen then three weeks later. On this occasion they both made hands-on experience with the pistol P8 and the rifle G3, shooting the original CIOR competition sequences. After that they participated in the training of the German competitors and passed some sport tests according the German military individual readiness program.

The visit was also used to inspect the facilities for the CIMEX exercise and to participate in a guided tour in the infantry collection (museum), all located in the same camp ...
