Summer Academy main details

Cost/Coût:
€550 for reserve service personnel, €650 for regular service personnel. The fee covers all tuition, meals, accommodation, travel whilst in host nation and social programme.
550 € pour le personnel de réserve, 650 € pour le personnel d’active. Les frais couvrent la scolarité, les repas, l’hébergement, les déplacements dans le pays hôte et le programme social.
Course:
2 weeks of language tuition (English / French).
6 hours of class per day with levels ranging from A1 (Elementary) to B2 (Upper-Intermediate). Advanced level students are also welcome.
PLS STANAG 6001 examination available for those deemed capable of achieving levels 1 – 3
Social Activities in both target languages (dependent on location):
Quiz nights
Scavenger hunts
Movie nights
Sports
Karaoke
International Cultures night
Full day excursion with a military focus Interested.

Ladies and Gentlemen, officers.

It’s an honor to be invited to speak here today in front of the men and women who understand what collective defense means and the importance of the alliance that has maintained the peace in Europe for 75 years. This is especially true in 2024 when many have doubts about the future of the alliance and at a time when Europe faces a greater threat to its security since the darkest days of the Cold War. Even then, when I was at Radio Free Europe in Munich Germany and when massive NATO exercises were just part of living in Europe, we did not have an ongoing massive invasion and war on the continent. Nor did we hear threats to invade, bomb and otherwise attack Europe.

Members of CIOR, CIOMR and CISOR attended a symposium February 1, 2024, in the press theater at NATO HQ in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the 2024 Mid-Winter Meeting.

CIOR seminar focused on AI and new technologies

The 2024 CIOR seminar convened January 28-30, 2024 at Theodor Heuss Akademie near Bonn, Germany.

CIOR´s president invited Ukrainian reserve officers to join CIOR

Estonian Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur and CIOR´s president LTC Toomas Luman held a discussion with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov this week and discussed help to Ukrainian forces as well as involvment of Ukrainina reservists in international co-operation.
