Summer Congress 2024 officially commenced in Tallinn

CAPT Rachel Ingram, STRATCOM Committee 31.07.2024

Under the flags of their respective countries, reservists from allied and partner nations stood in ceremonial formation as Major General Andrus Merilo, Estonia’s Chief of Defence, welcomed the crowd.

Summer Congress is a collaborative annual event which, this year, includes nearly 700 participants from CIOR, CIOMR and CISOR. Together, these confederations bring decades of international reservist experience to the table, building bridges and developing new concepts. Together, we are stronger.

Through the week, reservists from 27 countries will engage in professional development opportunities like CIOR Language Academy, Civil-Military Cooperation Exercise, Young Reserve Officers Workshop, Junior Medical Reserve Officers Workshop, Military Competition, and the CIOR Symposium, which features distinguished speakers, both military and private, from across Europe.
